Tucked away in the western edge of Calgary is an exciting community elegantly named Tuscany. You gain access to Tuscany via the TransCanada highway, Crowchild Trail, or Stoney Trail. Tuscany was launched in 1994 but is still considered a new community by most Calgarians.
Tuscany’s population of 19,000 residents have an annual family income of approaching $100,000 on average. Tuscany is one of the larger communities in Calgary being about 6 square kms and having almost 6500 dwellings. Your kids can attend any one of three different elementary schools in the district and it isn’t that far from the University of Calgary and the Southern Institute of Technology. Just drive straight down Crowchild Trail N and you’re there. Tuscany has its own residents association to help newcomers and you can meet at The Tuscany Club at 212 Tuscany Way N.W. The association has its own Twitter page.
Not only popular, life in Tuscany might be healthier too. It boasts a 170 acre natural ravine system on the eastern edge of the community. Twelve Mille Coulee is a 190 hectare area located party within Tuscany and is a popular destination for hikers and bikers. Tuscany will also have its own C-Train station (Calgary public light rail transit system), so there’s no worries about this being an isolated suburb. Besides Crowfoot station is just a short drive away right now.
Tuscany was rated 11th best community to live in by Avenue magazine. Calgary has some amazing communities but for families who want to live a healthy lifestyle, Tuscany might be one of the best.
