According to Calgary’s planning and development department, the master-planned community of Cornerstone saw the highest number of building permit applications of any residential community in town back in May.
Being developed by Anthem United and Walton Development and Management, Cornerstone just related a new phase earliest this year, which was of course the biggest reason for the spike in permit applications.
In all, 64 applications were submitted for the Cornerstone community in May, all for detached single-family homes.
According to builders and developers, demand is staying strong for homes in Cornerstone, especially with winter hanging around for just a bit longer than usual this year.
Along with beautiful homes, Cornerstone is also slated to include a sprawling activity centre, two future LTR stations, a regional park, 95 acres of park and school spaces, and 14 kilometres of recreational pathways.
Builders in Cornerstone include Jayman BUILT, Morrison Homes, Pacesetter by Sterling Homes, Shane Homes, and Truman Homes.
