Alberta Shorelines need your help. Take a stand against shoreline litter and become a cleanup champion by participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Registration for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup will be open until October 31. The event is presented by Loblaw Companies Limited and is one of the largest cleanup events on the globe. On Friday, October 10, there will be a Tiny Gallery opening reception. The gallery will by "Lightly Defined" by Kirk Dunkley and will be held in the Performing Arts Show Space. The show will run until December 5.    Kirk Dunkley is a Calgary native whose works explore light, space, movement and time. Works in his "Lightly Defined" exhibit conduct, reflect and refract light. Dunkley has studied and produce sculpture for the last 10 years and has a background in product design and manufacturing. Calgary Grain Academy MuseumThe Grain Academy Museum is located in the BMO Centre on the Plus 15 level in Stampede Park near downtown Calgary. The museum provides tours to anyone who has an interest in learning about grain handling. Miss Representation Screening by Every Woman FoundationOn Saturday, October 4, the Every Woman Foundation will host a special screening of Miss Representation. Miss Representation is a documentary film that premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The film was written and directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom. The 87-minute-long film exposes and challenges how the media portrays women and girls.
