More About Ranchlands Calgary 

The Ranchlands neighbourhood in North West Calgary is connected by John Laurie Blvd to the north, Nose Hill Drive NW to the West, Crowchild Trail to the south, and Sarcee Trail to the east. Annexed to the city back in 1961, the Ranchlands name refers to the old ranching heritage of this scenic foothills region, which dates all the way back to Calgary's beginning. Development around Ranchlands didn't actually start until the late 1970s though, and today, you'll find plenty of quaint villa- and ranch-style homes that mostly date back to the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

A number of townhome developments can also be found in the Ranchlands neighbourhood, giving interested home buyers plenty of affordable options to consider during their home search. Two individual community parks are part of the Ranchlands community, Ranchero Park and the Ranchlands Community Park, while access to downtown Calgary is also quite easy from the area, as Crowchild Trail NW, one of Northwest Calgary’s major highways, borders the neighbourhood's Southern boundary line.
