Best Calgary Neighbourhoods
Which areas have the best Calgary Neighbourhoods? That really comes down to what you and your family are looking for. Neighbourhoods in the west side of Calgary (NW Calgary and SW Calgary) have a lot to offer. Homes in these zones have higher prices yet the west side is where most Calgarians want to live. The SW Calgary and NW Calgary zones have the parks, hilly landscapes, million dollar views of the city and the mountains. Glenmore Park, Edworthy Park, Fish Creek Park, Canada Olympic Park, Nose Hill Park and Bowness Park are all located on the West side of Calgary. The Northwest area of Calgary is where you'll find the University of Calgary, Canada Olympic Park, Bowmont Park, Bowness Park, and a long stretch of the Bow River. You'll see people enjoying fishing along the Bow River, doing River Rafting, and there are biking, jogging and walking trails. Access to Banff National Park is much better too. If you live on the east side of Calgary, it takes much longer to travel since you'll crossing much of the city and traffic can be slow. For this reason, the NW and SW areas of Calgary are preferred and home prices will reflect that fact.
Shoppers will love the easy access to Market Mall, Deerfoot Mall, Crowfoot Crossing, Northland Village Shops, Brentwood Village Shopping Centre, and the Mega Mall, CrossIron Mills just to the north of the City in Balzac.
