East Calgary District Perhaps the smallest of Calgary’s eight districts, East Calgary is also one of the more affordable places to call home as well. Wedged in between by Stoney Trail and GlemoreTrail to the south and east, and loosely bounded by Ogden Road and the Bow River and Memorial Drive E. to the north and west, potential home buyers considering a move to the East Calgary District will nice a fairly nice mixture of moderately priced single-family homes and quite the variety of attached townhomes and condos.

Almost entirely a residential district, you won’t find many attractions or amenities around East Calgary, although the Inglewood Golf & Curling Club an the Inglewood Wildlands do sit on the community’s western border. Both Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail make getting to and from downtown, as well as basically any other part of Calgary fairly quick and easy, making East Calgary a great location for commuters looking for a quiet residential setting. Keeping in mind market conditions are always fluctuating, some of East Calgary’s most expensive homes usually top out in the mid to high $600,000s. Most active MLS listings in East Calgary fit somewhere in the $300,000 to $400,000 range, however, which is a great value on many different levels.
